Position Overview
A new opportunity has emerged for a Level 3 Roadworker within the dedicated Highway Team responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the road and footpath infrastructure.
We are looking for a dependable, diligent, and motivated team leader to oversee a variety of tasks including surface repairs, drainage projects, and footpath enhancements, alongside general road construction and maintenance activities.
The Highways Team prides itself on a proactive approach, committed to delivering exceptional quality of service to all users of the highway.
Applicants should possess a solid history in a supervisory capacity within the highway maintenance or construction sector, coupled with a progressive mindset to help the service continue its trajectory of success.
A valid clean driving license is mandatory, ideally with Category C1 qualification. If the C1 qualification is not currently held, the selected candidate will be expected to pursue LGV driver training within six months of employment, aiming for category C+E, and subsequently undertake driving responsibilities as required.
Possession of a NRSWA Operative certificate is crucial, along with familiarity and experience with Construction Health and Safety regulations pertinent to highway operations.
This role is based at the Beverley depot, with a standard workweek of 37 hours from Monday to Friday, along with the possibility of additional overtime on a scheduled basis and voluntary standby duties.
