Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic team leader to join our successful Highway Team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of projects, including planer patching, drainage works, and footway repairs, as well as general highway construction and maintenance works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of roadworkers and ensure the delivery of high-quality work
- Plan and coordinate projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and efficiency
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals
Requirements
- Proven track record in a supervisory role in the highway maintenance or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of Construction Health and Safety legislation
- Ability to demonstrate a forward-thinking attitude and commitment to delivering high standards of work
- Full clean driving licence, preferably with Category C1 entitlement
- NRSWA Operative certificate
