Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Highway Maintenance Operative to join our esteemed in-house Highway Team. This role is crucial for the ongoing upkeep and enhancement of our highway and footway networks.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take on a leadership role, overseeing a variety of essential projects including:
- Planer patching
- Drainage improvements
- Footway repairs
- General highway construction and maintenance
Our team prides itself on a strong 'can do' ethos, ensuring that we deliver exceptional standards of service to all users of the highway.
Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A proven supervisory background in highway maintenance or construction
- A proactive mindset aimed at enhancing service delivery
- A full clean driving licence, with Category C1 preferred
- A commitment to undertake LGV driver training if C1 entitlement is not currently held
- A valid NRSWA Operative certificate
- Knowledge of Construction Health and Safety regulations related to highway operations
Work Schedule
This position entails a standard workweek of 37 hours, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for additional overtime and voluntary standby duties.
