Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Loungers. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and well-organized, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of food safety and allergens, ensuring that all staff are aware of procedures and protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve excellent food quality and presentation.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes, ensuring that they meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve high standards of food quality and service.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of presentation and quality.
