Job Title: Sous Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the Cafe on the Green. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Oversee the daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a similar establishment
  • Proven track record of menu planning and preparation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
