About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Auditor to join our team at Hastings Direct. As a Claims Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our claims processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our internal claims processes, new initiatives, best practices, and the impact of inefficient processes on customer service, leakage, and fraud.
  • Conduct robust, risk-based audits across these areas to identify areas for improvement.
  • Deliver balanced, accurate, and evidenced feedback to leadership and teams, highlighting strengths and areas for development, and providing solutions where required.
  • Identify areas for indemnity savings and take steps to deliver the financial benefits.
  • Manage root cause analysis for all complaints (including FOS) and recommend improvements to reduce complaints and increase renewal retention.
  • Effectively identify, manage, and report risk within your area of responsibility and enhance the risk management culture within your area.
Requirements
  • Claims experience and sound knowledge across Bodily Injury as a priority, with some knowledge across a few of the below areas (ideally around 3 others) minimum of 4 areas such as Customer Journey/FNOL, Own Damage, Total Loss, Intervention, Recovery, Third Party Liability, Credit Hire, Bodily Injury (MOJ/Fastrack/Complex), Household Claims.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a proactive approach to work.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret MI and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
