MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading consumer business to find a Sales & Marketing Director based in the Southeast of England.

As Sales & Marketing Director, you will lead continuous improvement across all key processes and drive efficiencies across departments and the entire business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maximising sales and profits while ensuring harmonisation in all sales channels and brand strategies.
  • Working closely with the General Manager to develop strategic sales plans to deliver long-term, sustainable growth for the business.
  • Ensuring effective forecasting for the sales team to manage stock efficiently.
  • Identifying and developing opportunities for new sales channels, retailers, product categories, and brands.
  • Leading marketing activities with significant budget responsibilities across performance media, PR, social, trade marketing, and content creation.
  • Developing reporting metrics to show ROI of advertising spend to maximise profitability.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry news and trade, attending relevant networking events to ensure the business is at the forefront of marketing changes.

Requirements include:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership position in sales, digital marketing, or ecommerce.
  • Experience working within consumer non-food and drink industries, preferably in a considered product purchase category.
  • Deep understanding of customers and trading experience, with the ability to demonstrate sustainable relationship building across the customer base.
  • In-depth understanding of how to measure, monitor, and motivate a Sales team both directly and via second-line management.
  • Experience of budgeting and costing, including financial planning, P&L, and ROI analysis.
  • A full, clean, current driving license with the ability to travel.
