Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Pastry Chef in maintaining high standards of food production and service, supervising the pastry team, and ensuring the presentation and taste of dishes meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Pastry Chef in ensuring that standards of both food production and service are consistently high and that the agreed standards are maintained.
  • Supervise the entire pastry team, ensuring their assigned area operates efficiently and produces high-quality dishes.
  • Support with the planning and execution of dishes, as well as ensuring that the presentation and taste meet the established standards.
  • Support the training and mentoring of new kitchen staff, ensuring they understand kitchen protocols, safety procedures, and cooking techniques.
  • Assist in monitoring ingredient levels and reporting to the senior kitchen staff about inventory needs.
  • Uphold hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with regulations, ensuring the kitchen environment remains clean and organized.
