Lead Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our clinical team as a Lead Occupational Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to young people with eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Occupational Therapy team to ensure effective and high-quality delivery of the group program and individual patient support.
- Manage a defined caseload of young people with eating disorders, using evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current best practice in occupational therapy in eating disorders.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to identify occupational therapy goals and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide clinical supervision to junior colleagues and delegate work as appropriate to ensure effective team functioning.
- Oversee the use of and recording of the OT budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided.
- Experience working as a Senior Occupational Therapist in mental health and/or CAMHS.
- Experience as a clinical supervisor and leader.
- Knowledge of current best practice in occupational therapy in eating disorders.
- Experience facilitating and reviewing group work, and providing individualized interventions.
- Ability to critically evaluate research and apply findings to practice.
- Understanding of Safeguarding legislation and implications for practice.
- Understanding of national guidelines and legislation related to health and social care.
- Experience chairing meetings and disseminating information.
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues.
- Money handling and budget recording skills.
- Previous experience working with young people with Eating Disorders.
- Experience of completing written risk assessments.
- Experience of working with young people with Autism.
- Experience of undertaking audits and/or research.
- Experience presenting at conferences.
- Leadership experience.
- Experience of Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and risk management.
- Experience of being a budget holder.
- Dip COT/BSc OT/MSc OT.
- HCPC Registration.
- RCOT Registration.
