Job Summary

The Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Triage Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our Triage Hub, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective triage of patient referrals and providing high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Senior Triage Clinician will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical advice and guidance to triage nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Coordinating patient visits and ensuring timely processing of referrals
  • Developing and implementing triage rotas to ensure effective use of resources
  • Leading on the implementation of new processes and procedures within the triage team
  • Providing supervision and mentorship to triage staff
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage stressful situations
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered General Nurse qualification
  • Assessor/Mentorship preparation (ENB 998 or equivalent)
  • Current NMC registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
