ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Human Resources Department as an Early Careers Development Adviser. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with our trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices, providing essential support and guidance throughout their career journey.

As an Early Careers Development Adviser, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our firm's early careers programme. You will be responsible for managing the induction, seat allocation, and seat rotation processes for our trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices, as well as providing support and guidance on Employee Relations cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement the solicitor apprenticeship programme, including induction, seat allocation, and qualification processes.
  • Manage and support Employee Relations cases for trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices, including workplace adjustments and ongoing support.
  • Act as the main point of contact for solicitor apprentices and manage the roll-out of the programme at the firm.
  • Organise and run events for trainee solicitors and solicitor apprentices, working closely with the Early Careers Development team.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the route to qualification via the SQE and stay up-to-date with regulatory changes from the SRA.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Group Trainee Partners and the Managing Partner, to build strong relationships and drive the early careers lifecycle.
  • Assist with inbox management, input into the budget process, and undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in early careers development. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified at graduate level and preferably CIPD qualified or part-qualified.
  • Experience in the early careers space, with a strong understanding of the SQE and regulatory changes.
  • Excellent administrative skills and experience, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
  • Good team player with a collaborative approach, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to provide feedback and share information.
  • Able to build strong business relationships with internal and external clients, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
