Role Overview

As a Care Operations Leader at Hestia, you will be instrumental in our Mental Health & Complex Needs service. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing all facets of client care, support, accommodation, and the execution of regulated activities in compliance with CQC standards.
  • Ensuring the provision of a consistent, high-quality, client-centered, and recovery-oriented service that is co-created with service users, aligning with Hestia's mission, values, and strategic goals.
  • Effectively managing and executing the operational policies of the project within the relevant legislative framework.
  • Leading the management of the Registered Care Home in accordance with CQC regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing an annual business plan for the service that aligns with organizational strategic objectives and service delivery requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining a dynamic risk register, implementing mitigation strategies, and regularly reviewing identified risks.
  • Demonstrating leadership in the management of the Registered Care Home, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Level 5 qualification in health and social care or an equivalent credential.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team, with the ability to inspire and empower staff to effect positive change for individuals.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing services for individuals with complex mental health needs and an understanding of the associated challenges.
  • Empathy for service users and a proactive approach to supporting recovery.
  • Managerial experience in recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance appraisal, and staff development.
  • Strong housing management experience.
  • Experience in budget management and adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to analyze performance data and make informed recommendations for improvement.
  • A solid understanding of and commitment to implementing effective practices in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
