Location: Hillingdon Manor School

Compensation: Up to £51,200 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be a qualified educator with a proven track record of making impactful contributions within an educational setting. This position focuses on our Secondary Site, where you will engage with Key Stage 3 students aged 11 to 13. We welcome applications from candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), regardless of whether their background is in Primary or Secondary education.

Your teaching approach will be tailored to meet the diverse educational needs of students, ensuring the effective delivery of the curriculum to enhance student achievement and development. Candidates should be prepared to manage challenging behaviors, as our students may present various needs.

In this role, you will deliver lessons in an engaging and enjoyable manner. Collaboration with support staff is essential to provide each student with the necessary assistance, ensuring a conducive learning environment. You will also be responsible for communicating progress to senior leadership, parents, and guardians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the KS3 Department, providing direct management for all Key Stage 3 classes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to assess student progress and outcomes.
  • Oversee the quality of education and the implementation of the specialized curriculum.
  • Implement pastoral care and positive behavior strategies to enhance student engagement.
  • Work alongside the clinical team to ensure appropriate support for communication and sensory needs.
  • Monitor student attendance and engagement in lessons.
  • Facilitate effective home-school communication within the Key Stage.
  • Report relevant information to senior leadership regarding any educational or pastoral issues.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment or significant experience with students with complex needs.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging lesson plans.
  • Possession of UK QTS or QTLS is essential for this role.
