We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Outpatient Administrator to join our team in the Oxford Heart Centre. As a key member of our OCMR team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient appointments and procedures, ensuring timely and efficient communication with patients, healthcare staff, and carers.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to prioritize clinical procedures and book appointments accordingly.
- Use knowledge of clinical procedures and booking systems to resolve appointment conflicts and minimize patient journeys.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining high levels of professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Enter relevant clinical and demographic information into clinical database systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Sort and manage incoming post, taking appropriate action to ensure timely processing.
- Use knowledge of national and local waiting-time standards to ensure compliance and minimize breaches.
- Arrange patient transport and translators as needed, in line with Trust protocols.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of local policies and operating procedures.
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have up-to-date experience of MS Windows, MS Office, and Excel, as well as a good basic educational background and a flexible approach to team work and working hours.
Desirable qualifications include IT qualifications, such as ECDL, and experience of medical terminology. The ability to develop computer technology skills and excellent interpersonal skills are also highly desirable.
