Flexible part-time hours available, Monday to Friday
We are excited to offer a remarkable opportunity to join the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust as a First Contact Physiotherapist within our Primary Care Physiotherapy Service. We seek dedicated and experienced Physiotherapists to become part of our supportive and patient-focused team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and triaging patients during 20-minute consultations, following appropriate care navigation by GP Practice teams.
As a First Contact Physiotherapist, you will work at an advanced clinical level, utilizing your skills to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage musculoskeletal (MSK) issues and undifferentiated conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Assume professional accountability as a First Contact Physiotherapist, employing high-level decision-making and clinical reasoning to assess, diagnose, and triage patients, including those with undifferentiated conditions. This involves evaluating patients without prior GP contact to establish a swift and precise diagnosis and management strategy. Enhance the care pathway by delivering a responsive service, ensuring patients receive timely access to necessary care. Focus on proactive and preventive care, emphasizing early intervention tailored to individual patient needs. Assess the impact of patients' clinical conditions on their overall health, well-being, and functional status, including mobility and independence. Collaborate with the FCP Clinical Lead to contribute to service delivery and improvement initiatives. Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and coordination for therapists, students, and other primary care personnel.We are committed to professional development, including supervision, performance development reviews (PDR), continuing professional development (CPD), and staff training.
Candidate Requirements
Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Applicants must be able to travel independently and have access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes. Adjustments can be made in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 if necessary.About the Trust
