We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Wentworth 1 Primary Care Network. As a Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our primary care services.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and assess patients, providing definitive treatment and making recommendations to other members of the primary care team as necessary.
- Use advanced clinical skills to educate patients, promote self-care, and encourage informed decision-making about their treatment.
- Perform and interpret ECGs, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the PCN.
- Collect pathological specimens, including bloods, swabs, and other samples within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate health records using Systm1, ensuring accurate completion of necessary documentation associated with patient healthcare and registration with practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing complex and sensitive information regarding their physical health needs.
- Education to a degree/diploma level in Paramedicine or equivalent experience.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Working towards developing masters-level capability in paramedic areas of practice.
- Prescribing qualification.
- Minimum of two years post-qualification experience.
- Three years' experience as a Band 6 or equivalent experience.
- Triage and patient examination skills.
- Knowledge of acute and long-term conditions.
- Prescribing qualification.
- Worked within a Primary Care setting (GP Practice).
- Clinical System experience, including System 1/EMIS.
- MSc Degree.
