About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Animal Centre Manager to join our team at Windsor Forest Colleges Group. As a key member of our Animal Education Centre, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our animal facilities, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and providing exceptional support to our learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the animal centre, ensuring daily tasks are completed to meet the highest standards of animal welfare.
  • Lead the development of teaching to learners conducting work experience and practical activities on their sections.
  • Implement our Health and Welfare Policy, including organizing vet visits, periodic screenings, quarantine, chairing our ethics committee, and updating species-specific protocols.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the centre and lead the centre in the absence of the Animal Centre Manager.
Requirements
  • Recognized qualification in a relevant subject area (minimum of L4).
  • Extensive industry experience, including supervising/working with young people.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working, with a commitment to problem-solving.
