Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Medical Oncology with a focus on Breast and Gynaecological cancers.

As part of a collaborative team of 15 Consultants, you will deliver comprehensive Oncology services to a diverse population. Our facilities offer a wide array of radiotherapy and chemotherapy options, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Outpatient services are available at multiple locations, with the flexibility of virtual consultations and remote working opportunities for our consultants. Additionally, there are prospects for involvement in advanced clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities

This role is structured to provide 10 basic Programmed Activities (PAs) weekly, with the potential for additional activities through negotiation. The position is Trustwide, primarily based at our main facility with a commitment to one day per week at an alternate site.

You will be supported by a skilled team, including Specialty Doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and Clinical Nurse Specialists, ensuring a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Work Environment

The Oncology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including:

  • Oncology Assessment Unit (OAU)
  • Dedicated radiotherapy and outpatient clinics
  • Specialist-led clinics
  • Comprehensive care for day case patients

Applicants must hold full registration with the UK General Medical Council or be nearing completion of their training.
