Mental Health Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with a range of mental health difficulties.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional support and guidance to our students, helping them to cope with their emotions and develop a sense of trust within the school environment. You will also assist the class teacher with various classroom tasks and help to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with mental health difficulties
  • Assist the class teacher with classroom tasks and activities
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students in developing emotional regulation skills
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement mental health support plans
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about mental health and education, and who has a patient and empathetic approach. Previous experience working with children with mental health needs is desirable, but not essential. A positive attitude and high levels of enthusiasm are essential for this role.
