Macclesfield, Cheshire East, United Kingdom Taylor Higson Full time

Technical Support Specialist – Print Solutions

We are collaborating with a prominent provider of printing and finishing solutions as they seek to enhance their technical support division.

In this position, you will serve as the initial point of contact, delivering technical troubleshooting support to clients through phone and online channels.

Your responsibilities will include assisting end users in resolving electrical, mechanical, and printing-related challenges, as well as coordinating with field service engineers for on-site visits when necessary, ensuring exceptional service throughout the process.

This role is ideal for individuals with a technical background, adept at interpreting machinery diagrams and schematics, and familiar with diagnosing common issues associated with production printing equipment—possibly a former field service engineer or demonstrator looking to minimize travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering remote technical support to end users of various machinery, including printing presses and finishing equipment, as well as managing warranty claims
  • Collaborating with the service team to plan and schedule machinery installations, commissioning of new equipment, or organizing on-site repairs
  • Managing parts orders and coordinating their delivery
  • Documenting all processes meticulously using the company's client management systems
  • Occasionally traveling to client sites to assist with technical troubleshooting

Candidate Profile

  • Proficient in troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues
  • Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Office, Outlook, Excel, and CRM systems
  • Exceptional client management and customer service abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Electrically or mechanically qualified, or possesses equivalent hands-on experience in a similar capacity
  • Valid UK driving license with a willingness to travel occasionally to assist clients

Compensation & Benefits

Depending on experience, a competitive salary of up to £40,000 will be offered, along with pension contributions, holiday allowance, on-site parking, and additional benefits.

The organization is a global entity that frequently promotes from within, making this an excellent opportunity for those seeking a workplace that values hard work and ambition for career advancement.
