Position Overview
Purpose of the Role
The Client Relationship Executive will be an integral part of the Client Relationship Team, tasked with providing exceptional administration and governance services to Broadstone's defined benefit pension scheme clientele.
This role entails overseeing the retention and management of a designated client portfolio, collaborating closely with the Administration and Actuarial teams, Trustees, Employers, Scheme Actuaries, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless and cohesive administration and governance services are delivered. The individual will represent Broadstone's administration and governance services at Trustee Meetings.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, IT, and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to continuous learning and exemplary written and verbal communication abilities. A solid understanding of the administration and governance of defined benefit pensions, coupled with the capacity to prioritize tasks and maintain meticulous attention to detail, is highly desirable.
The Client Relationship Executive will report to an Actuarial Director and will collaborate with the broader Administration and Actuarial teams and Scheme Actuaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and sustain productive client relationships.
- Establish budgets and achieve financial objectives across the client portfolio.
- Contribute to the effective delivery of Broadstone's administration and governance services.
- Serve as the primary contact for Trustees, Employers, and related parties, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of inquiries by the appropriate Broadstone team.
- Act as the first point of contact for the Administration Team regarding client-related queries.
- Participate in client meetings, both in-person and virtually, as necessary.
- Prepare agenda materials and minutes for Trustee Meetings, following up on outstanding actions as required by the client.
- Promote additional business areas that may interest the client.
- Generate and present clear, concise reports based on data from the Administration or Actuarial teams.
- Oversee the implementation of new pension schemes as needed.
- Perform any other duties that may fall outside the standard scope as reasonably required by the Company for personal development purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of defined benefit pensions, including current challenges related to pension scheme administration and governance, as well as awareness of guidance from professional pensions organizations.
- Prior experience in the administration and governance of defined benefit pensions.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload to meet client requirements.
- Attention to detail when handling scheme data and records.
- High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player, eager to support colleagues in achieving both team and individual goals, especially during peak periods.
- Proficient in presenting various pension administration topics during Trustee meetings.
- Computer literate (MS Office and MS Outlook) with a quick aptitude for learning new IT skills and software.
Knowledge Requirements
- Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), and Data Management regulations and internal procedures.
