Main Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist Specialist to join our team at CWP. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality therapy services to our patients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver a holistic and solution-focused therapy service to patients with complex needs.
  • Assess and manage risk, monitoring the mental and physical health status of patients.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams across the trust and associated partners.
  • Triage referrals and utilize expertise to provide effective care coordination.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary framework, providing specialist assessment, formulation, and clinical support.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a Diploma or BSc in Occupational Therapy, registration with the Health Professions Council, and accreditation as a Practice Placement Educator or working towards accreditation.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good knowledge and awareness of current legislation and guidance pertaining to Mental Health services and implications for Occupational Therapy, and the ability to work under pressure and set priorities.

They will also have experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment, supervising and supporting junior staff and students, and using Staff Performance and Development Process.

Documented evidence of Continued Professional Development and working knowledge of clinical audit are also essential.
