Lead Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Intensive Support Team (MhIST) as a Lead Occupational Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership and support to our Occupational Therapists, while promoting the role of occupational therapy within the wider multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert assessment and interventions to patients within their own environment using a broad range of therapeutic assessment techniques.
- Oversee and support a varied clinical caseload and provide person-centred and needs-led care.
- Supervise junior staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
- Provide leadership to Occupational Therapists working across the MhIST teams, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Contribute to the development of occupational therapy pathways and services, ensuring they are evidence-based and effective.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.

Requirements- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Accreditation as a Practice Placement Educator.
- Significant postgraduate training and evidence of continued professional development.
- Forensic risk assessment training (HCR20, RSVP) or be willing to gain within 12 months of appointment.
