About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health Intensive Support Team (MhIST) as a Lead Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and support to the Occupational Therapists across the service, promoting the role of occupational therapy within the wider multidisciplinary team and developing the Occupational Therapy pathway within the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert assessment and interventions to patients within their own environment using a broad range of therapeutic assessment techniques.
  • Oversee and support a varied clinical caseload and provide person-centred and needs-led care.
  • Supervise junior staff and students.
  • Provide leadership to Occupational Therapists working across the MhIST teams.
  • Provide clinical leadership, expertise, and advice to the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and lead on quality improvement and represent Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in appropriate internal and external forums.
