Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of paediatric patients with varying needs, providing specialized occupational therapy interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children\u2019s physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop personalized therapy plans.
- Work closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and promote the child\u2019s development.
- Provide advice on adaptations to children\u2019s environments, such as home or school settings, to support their independence and well-being.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of children, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Support junior staff and contribute to their development through supervision, training, and mentoring.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS guidelines, ensuring quality care and continuity.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience working as a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist, preferably within the NHS.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to manage a paediatric caseload independently.
- Experience in providing assessments and interventions for children with a variety of conditions, including developmental and physical challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to overall team goals.
