Position Overview:

We are seeking a Regional Manager to lead our Environmental Planning division in the South East. As a senior professional, you will leverage your extensive background in Planning and/or Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA). This position is ideal for a Chartered Town Planner or Environmental Specialist who is passionate about embedding environmental considerations into the planning framework.

Join our team and play a vital role in improving quality of life by engaging in projects that focus on environmental stewardship, sustainability, and technical proficiency in areas such as biodiversity, pollution control, and air quality management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the team in the South East region
  • Oversee planning and environmental initiatives
  • Facilitate business development efforts and nurture client relationships
  • Deliver planning and environmental guidance and support
  • Manage projects while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • In-depth understanding of the UK planning framework and environmental regulations
  • Diverse experience across multiple project types
  • Exceptional report writing and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in project management and coordination
  • Capability to engage effectively with stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  • Strong commercial insight and quality assurance expertise
  • Degree in a relevant discipline, chartered status is preferred
  • Collaborative and adaptable working style
  • Experience with Development Consent Orders (DCO), Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAO), or SEA projects is advantageous
  • Membership in IEMA, IES, CEnv, or RTPI is desirable
