Role Summary:

In response to our rapid expansion in the North East, we are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to operate in the Newcastle, Darlington, and Leeds regions. This position is ideal for a self-driven individual who thrives under pressure and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties will include the service and upkeep of our vending machines, specifically:

  • Addressing machine malfunctions within the stipulated SLA
  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Training staff on-site regarding the operational aspects of the equipment once installed
  • Coordinating with the Service Desk to ensure timely completion of service calls and updating the internal system for first-time fault resolution
  • Assisting with site assessments and machine installations as needed
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and a flexible work attitude
  • Providing coverage in other areas as required by the service desk during absences

Candidate Profile & Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in vending, with a focus on technical, electrical, and mechanical skills (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Experience with digital media is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
  • A proactive problem solver
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • A collaborative team player committed to the company’s objectives
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence

Comprehensive manufacturer training will be provided.

This position operates over a 5-day schedule, from Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week).

The company offers a vehicle for work purposes, increasing holiday entitlement with tenure, a pension plan, and a discretionary bonus based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Experience Requirements:

  • Electrical engineering: 1 year (preferred)
  • Mechanical engineering: 1 year (preferred)
  • Vending engineering: 1 year (preferred)

Licensing/Certification:

  • Full, clean UK driving licence (required)

Work Environment:

Field-based role.
