This role involves a blend of 75% workshop-based electrical and mechanical assembly, testing, and pre-commissioning activities, alongside 25% dedicated to the service and commissioning of machinery globally.

About the Organization:

A forward-thinking enterprise specializing in the design and manufacturing of bespoke machinery for international markets. Renowned for their innovative products, they hold a leading position in the industry.

In response to growth, the company seeks additional field service engineers to assist in the assembly, testing, and global commissioning of their advanced equipment at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is distinctive in several aspects:

  • The field service engineer will become a product expert by assembling and testing the machinery in a cutting-edge workshop.
  • Responsibilities include electrical and mechanical assembly, interpreting schematics.
  • The machinery is controlled via PLC systems.
  • Involves panel and machine wiring tasks.
  • As the field service engineer, you will travel to various international locations, spending several weeks at a time on-site.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a qualification in electrical engineering, with a minimum of NVQ Level 3.

This role requires a strong technical background, and while comprehensive product training will be provided, candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients.

Willingness to travel and work away from home is crucial (approximately 25% travel annually).
