About The Job

As a key member of the Department for Transport's Digital Services Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the delivery of digital and data services. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the development of innovative transport policy agendas and ensuring the seamless delivery of cloud-based solutions.

Job Summary

This exciting opportunity will see you working on a wide range of projects, leveraging advanced technologies to drive digital transformation. You will be responsible for leading and supporting IT services, ensuring that all processes are carried out to ITIL standards and that service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) are in place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of IT services, providing technical support and incident management as needed.
  • Support the Senior Service Manager (Digital Workplace) in the delivery of end-to-end digital services, ensuring cross-team coordination and collaboration.
  • Act as Transition Manager for projects, ensuring smooth transitions of new products and services into live environments.
  • Manage relationships with digital, data, and technology suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring that products and services are resilient and secure.

Person Specification

We are seeking an experienced IT service management professional with a strong understanding of ITIL principles. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt your delivery to suit a wide range of audiences. You will be a dedicated and confident self-starter, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
