Job Title: SEND Transport Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEND Transport Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our patient transport team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of SEND children to and from school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport SEND children to and from school, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Build rapport with service users and their families, providing a high level of customer service and support.
  • Assist with the handling of service users, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless transportation services, adhering to EMED Group's values of Collaborative, Agile, Reliable, and Empowered.
Requirements:
  • FREC3 Training (Certificate in First Response Emergency Care)
  • Committed to Community Care
  • Effective communicator with experience of communicating with others in emotional circumstances
  • Calm, considerate, and careful driver with no more than three penalty points on your license
  • Natural flair for team working and collaboration
  • Physically fit for patient handling, wheelchair on/off boarding
  • Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company funded)
  • Able to hold a PHV taxi license
  • Able to work flexible shifts
  • Familiar with the local and surrounding area
