About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Transport Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our Patient Transport and Care Partner team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and reliable transportation services to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of SEND Children: You will be responsible for transporting SEND children to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Supporting Vulnerable Service Users: You will assist in transporting elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from their place of education, medical appointments, and between healthcare facilities.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Safety: You will be responsible for ensuring the vehicles are kept safe, clean, and tidy, and that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
  • Communication and Teamwork: You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration, providing excellent customer service to our patients and clients.
Requirements
  • FREC 3 Training: You must hold a valid FREC 3 certificate in First Response Emergency Care.
  • Physical Fitness: You must be physically fit for patient handling, wheelchair on/off boarding, and other duties associated with the role.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: You must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check, which will be funded by the company.
  • PHV Taxi License: You must hold a valid PHV taxi license.
  • Flexibility: You must be able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
