Key Responsibilities
  • Transport SEND school children to their place of education
  • Build rapport with service users and their relatives/friends through effective communication
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of service users at all times, including lifting, securing, and assisting them in and out of vehicles
  • Hand over service users to appropriate staff on arrival at treatment schools, centers, or hospitals
  • Assist service users with challenging behavior and/or mental health illnesses
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of vehicles
Requirements
  • Full FREC 3 Training (Certificate in First Response Emergency Care)
  • Commitment to community care and a passion for making a difference
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm and considerate driving style, with no more than three penalty points on your license
  • Physical fitness for patient handling and wheelchair on/off boarding
  • Enhanced DBS check (company-funded)
  • PHV taxi license
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts
  • Familiarity with the local and surrounding area
