Cyber Intelligence Capability Manager

Role Overview
As the Cyber Intelligence Capability Manager, you will oversee the Capability Development team within Cyber Operations, ensuring the effective execution of daily responsibilities. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering relationships across Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) to align our capabilities with intelligence needs and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Capability Development team, managing day-to-day operations within Cyber Operations.
- Establish and nurture collaborative partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders focused on data analysis and big data platforms.
- Deliver essential tools and analytics to produce top-tier threat intelligence.
- Facilitate skill development within the team, promoting career advancement and expertise for specialists at BT.
- Represent CTI in strategic discussions regarding the evolution of big data analysis within the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BT's ability to utilize tools and data for better protection of the business and its reputation.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on team developments and outputs.
- Contribute to relevant Security Transformation Themes and Cyber Operations requirements as necessary.
- Ensure the CTI domain operates effectively and responsively, empowering people, processes, and technology to exceed expectations.
- Act as a deputy for the Senior Manager when required.
Essential Skills

- Threat Awareness: Understanding of potential threat actors and vectors targeting BT, guiding team focus.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to set clear, measurable goals and optimize technical resources across competing demands.
- Influencing Skills: Proficient in persuading and motivating others, with a strong sense of urgency to drive strategic initiatives.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain partnerships with peers, customers, vendors, and the National Cyber Security Centre.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with legal frameworks and BT policies governing data governance.
- Security Clearance: DV preferred; ability to obtain and maintain SC essential.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in big data and data analytics.
- Knowledge of data analysis platforms and tools.
- Hands-on experience in daily cybersecurity operations and Threat Intelligence.
- Proven experience managing a team of technical specialists.
- Engagement with senior stakeholders at Board, CxO, and MD levels.
- Familiarity with CTI processes and best practices.
- Typically holds a degree or equivalent professional experience.
