Role Overview

The Cyber Operations Capability Manager will oversee the Capability Development team, ensuring effective daily operations within the Cyber Operations domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Capability Development team, managing daily operational duties.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships across Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) to ensure alignment of capability deliveries with intelligence priorities.
  • Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on data analysis and big data initiatives.
  • Deliver essential tools and analytics to produce high-quality threat intelligence.
  • Support skill enhancement within the Capability Development team, facilitating career growth for specialists.
  • Represent CTI in strategic discussions regarding the advancement of big data analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement in BT's ability to utilize tools and data for enhanced protection of its business and reputation.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on team developments and outputs.
  • Contribute to relevant Security Transformation Themes and Cyber Operations requirements as necessary.
  • Accountable to the Senior Manager, Threat Intelligence, ensuring the CTI domain operates effectively and responsively.
  • Act as a deputy for the Senior Manager when required.

  • Relationship Building: Experience in developing partnerships with peers, customers, and cybersecurity organizations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with legal frameworks and BT's data governance policies.
  • Security Clearance: DV preferred; ability to obtain and maintain SC is essential.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in big data and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of data analysis platforms and tools.
  • Hands-on experience in Cybersecurity operations and Threat Intelligence.
  • Experience managing a team of technical specialists.
  • Engagement with senior stakeholders at executive levels.
  • Familiarity with CTI processes and best practices.
  • Typically holds a degree or equivalent professional experience.
