Job Title: Senior Cyber Defence Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Defence Analyst to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our Cyber Defence Department, you will play a critical role in supporting our information security functions and providing technical expertise to mitigate security risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track, manage, and resolve cyber security events to ensure the integrity of our systems and data.
  • Lead the technical response to cyber incidents, including documentation and communication to stakeholders.
  • Analyse security risks from cyber incidents and recommend practical improvements to reduce risk.
  • Deliver high-level cyber defence capabilities across the business, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in cyber event and incident analysis, investigation, and handling, with a strong understanding of cyber threats and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Working knowledge of information security technologies, including SIEM, firewall, threat hunting, and cloud security.
  • Hands-on experience with EDR, threat hunting, and forensic tools, as well as strong technical skills for operating and improving cyber controls.
  • Hands-on security engineering experience, including firewall management, SIEM/IDS/IPS configuration, and web proxy.
  • Understanding of IT networks and technical architecture, with experience working with security frameworks such as ISO 27001/2 and NIST.
