Job Description

The JM Longbridge Group is seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to join their team in London. This is a permanent role that offers a hybrid model with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the Financial Services industry and between 1-2 years of experience in an application support-related role. The salary on offer is between £40K - £50K, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot software-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Provide Helpdesk contact and liaison for support queries, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle helpdesk and support queries to determine severity and response criteria, enforcing support processes and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage and prioritize raised tickets (JIRA Service Desk), ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high-quality stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify and track bugs through to resolution, liaising with internal technical teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Assist in defining and documenting support processes and standards, ensuring consistency and best practices.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing positions, with a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations.
  • Familiarity with a variety of technologies, including Linux, SQL, AWS, Python, Docker, Git, Elastic stack, Serverless, and Jira, Confluence, Agile.
