Network Support Engineer Opportunity

As a Network Support Engineer at Sanderson Government & Defence, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Classified networks and hosted systems.

Your primary responsibility will be to address infrastructure support issues, maintain and manage the overall performance and availability of our networks. You will provide support to users at all levels of the organisation, working closely with the team to resolve technical issues and improve network efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain Juniper devices, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  2. Configure and troubleshoot Citrix App Delivery Controllers (formerly Netscaler) to ensure seamless application delivery.
  3. Utilise Junos SPACE to monitor and manage network infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  4. Monitor and manage network performance using SolarWinds Products, ensuring prompt identification and resolution of issues.
  5. Perform routine operations schedules for servers, server applications, databases, systems, and network elements, adhering to corporate standards and requirements.
  6. Manage patch management processes to ensure timely application of security patches and updates.
  7. Conduct network monitoring to identify potential issues before they impact the organisation.
  8. Perform upgrades and maintenance tasks to ensure network infrastructure remains up-to-date and secure.
  9. Due to the nature of this work, candidates must already hold a DV clearance.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Juniper devices, Citrix App Delivery Controllers, Junos SPACE, and SolarWinds Products.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
