About the Role

Falcon Green is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in a key role that will drive cost management and control across their projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all costs related to projects are accurately managed and minimized, while maintaining the required standards and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate and issue tender packs for subcontractor work packages, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Negotiate and analyze subcontractor tender returns, identifying opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
  • Produce detailed tender analysis for subcontract work packages, providing a clear understanding of costs and risks.
  • Complete subcontract orders and variations, ensuring all changes are properly documented and approved.
  • Manage subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Prepare and submit monthly CVRs and cost reports, providing a clear picture of project costs and progress.
  • Develop and maintain cost reports and budget control, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on time.
  • Attend site project meetings, providing expert advice and guidance on cost management and control.
  • Lead project teams, including preparing and issuing monthly HA valuations, cash flow forecasts, and key date trackers.

Requirements:

  • HNC in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or equivalent.
  • Experience working within the construction industry for a main contractor or JCT.
  • Excellent IT, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in COINs and experience with different construction methods, such as Timber Frame, RC Frame, and Traditional Build.
  • Professional membership of MCIOB or RICS is desirable, or working towards such a qualification.
