About the Role

Falcon Green is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in a key role that will drive cost management and control across their projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all costs related to projects are accurately managed and minimized, while maintaining the required standards and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collate and issue tender packs for subcontractor work packages, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Negotiate and analyze subcontractor tender returns, identifying opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
  • Produce detailed tender analysis for subcontract work packages, providing recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Complete subcontract orders and variations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Manage subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely settlements.
  • Prepare and submit monthly CVRs and cost reports, providing insights into project costs and budget performance.
  • Conduct cost reporting and budget control, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Attend site project meetings, collaborating with project teams to ensure cost management and control.
  • Lead project teams, including preparing and issuing monthly HA valuations, cash flow forecasts, and key date trackers.

Requirements:

  • HNC in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or equivalent, with a strong understanding of construction industry practices and regulations.
  • Proven experience working within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor or JCT.
  • Excellent IT, analytical, and communication skills, with proficiency in COINs and other relevant software.
  • Professional membership of MCIOB or RICS, or working towards such qualification.
  • Familiarity with different construction methods, including timber frame, RC frame, and traditional build.
