Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a self-employed basis. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Senior Quantity Surveyor with tenders and live project accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor: Assist with tendering and project management, ensuring accurate take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Project Cost Management: Manage project costs to ensure adherence to budget, prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, utilizing relevant software to track and report on project progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience working with reinforced concrete frames and groundworks contractors.
  • Skills: Proven ability to complete take-offs and prepare tenders, familiarity with Quantity Surveying software (training available for specific platforms).
  • Self-Employed: Office-based in Northolt, with occasional site visits, strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently under the guidance of a Senior Surveyor.
