About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Practitioner to join our team in the Early Help Pathway. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide assessment, advice, and signposting to community services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties, with a minimum of 3 years' experience post-registration. You will have a postgraduate training qualification in working with children's mental health and be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of therapeutic principles.

You will be responsible for delivering consultation, advice, and information sharing to community services and schools, working with children and young people who may present with emerging mental health difficulties. You will also co-ordinate and implement evidence-based targeted interventions in a timely manner, in collaboration with other clinicians.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and expanding team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver consultation, advice, and information sharing to community services and schools
  • Co-ordinate and implement evidence-based targeted interventions
  • Work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide assessment and support
  • Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings, such as EHAT, SEND, and CIN meetings
  • Contribute to the development of training programmes for schools and community services
Person Specification
  • Core qualification in nursing, social work, OT, or psychology
  • At least 3 years' experience post-registration working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties
  • Postgraduate training qualification in working with children's mental health
  • Deep understanding of therapeutic principles and ability to demonstrate this in practice
