Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within our healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting clinical ward-based tasks, including patient counselling and medication transcribing.
  • Dispensing medications for both in-patients and out-patients.
  • Evaluating patients' own medications and compiling comprehensive drug histories.
  • Providing discharge counselling to patients.

Our organization offers an extensive training program designed to enhance your skills as a clinical technician. This training encompasses:

  • Participation in the Regional Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) Scheme.
  • Gaining proficiency in assessing Patients' Own Drugs.
  • Developing competence in medication history taking.

We are looking for candidates who possess a Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services or an equivalent qualification, and who are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Newly qualified technicians or those nearing qualification are encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and some experience in a hospital setting.

Main Responsibilities

Dispense medications for in-patients, out-patients, and discharged patients under the supervision of a qualified Pharmacist.

Conduct assessments of patients' own medications and complete drug histories.
