Virgin Media O2 is seeking a driven Strategic Account Director to lead our Critical Network Infrastructure (CNI) account team, focusing on new business development and revenue growth for select partners.

This role demands exceptional customer relationship management, representing VMO2 Fixed Wholesale and its comprehensive suite of products and services. You will spearhead virtual teams, ensuring success across all stages – from pre-sale to delivery and ongoing account management.

What We Seek:
  • A seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in business development and a deep understanding of the Wholesale/Network Infrastructure telco market. This includes familiarity with key players, trends, and specific experience with MNOs, broadcast companies, and Towercos.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading virtual teams to secure multi-million pound (£5M+) deals within complex, strategic accounts.
  • A history of success in opportunity generation and revenue retention, managing large, strategic customers generating annual revenues exceeding £5M.
  • Strong commercial acumen, financial literacy, and the ability to analyze how different commercial propositions impact profitability and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Technical proficiency in fiber and optical networks, coupled with an understanding of the key criteria wholesale partners consider when deploying network infrastructure.
  • Experience engaging at senior/board level (C-level) within organizations.
  • Exceptional sales and account management skills, consistently exceeding performance targets.
