Job Title: Commercial Sales Handler

Salary: £35,000

Location: Croydon

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming sales and member/customer inquiry calls to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
  • Produce and issue quotation, new business, and renewal documentation to ensure timely and accurate communication with clients.
  • Assist customers in protecting their material assets and liabilities by providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Follow up and convert leads, as well as make outbound calls to identify new business opportunities and expand existing relationships.
  • Contribute to team discussions on progression and positive change, and work productively and efficiently as a member of a sales team.
  • Achieve agreed sales and retention targets, both individually and as part of the overall team, to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Maintain and achieve growth in income from existing customers by developing and maintaining positive ongoing relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all products and services to assist customers in making informed decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external compliance regulations to maintain a high level of professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 5 Grade A-C GCSEs to demonstrate academic achievement.
  • Be competent to sell SME general insurance and have relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
  • Have a clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Experience of e-trading platforms, such as Acturis, would be advantageous but is not required.
  • A strong track record in delivering on sales targets is essential to drive business growth and revenue.

Industry Experience:

  • Be competent to sell SME general insurance and have relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
  • Hold a CII FIT Qualification or be willing to undertake this study upon role success.
  • Have a clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Experience of e-trading platforms, such as Acturis, would be advantageous but is not required.
  • A strong track record in delivering on sales targets is essential to drive business growth and revenue.
