Job Title: Commercial Sales Representative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Sales Representative to join our team at Lawes Insurance Recruitment. As a Commercial Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing incoming sales and member/customer enquiry calls, producing and issuing quotation, new business and renewal documentation, and assisting customers to protect their material assets and liabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Incoming Sales and Enquiries: Respond to and manage incoming sales and member/customer enquiry calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Produce and Issue Documentation: Produce and issue quotation, new business and renewal documentation to customers.
- Assist Customers: Assist customers to protect their material assets and liabilities by providing expert advice and guidance.
- Follow Up and Convert Leads: Follow up and convert leads as well as making outbound calls to potential customers.
- Work Productively: Work productively and efficiently as a member of a sales team and contribute to team discussions regarding progression and positive change.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Achieve agreed sales & retention targets, both individually and as part of the overall team.
- Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain positive ongoing relationships with Insurers and Underwriters in a professional manner.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external compliance regulations are met.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all products and services to assist customers.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of 5 Grade A-C GCSEs.
- Experience: Relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
- Knowledge: Clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
- Skills: Strong track record in delivering on sales targets.
- CII FIT Qualification: CII FIT Qualification or willingness to undertake this study upon role success.
Industry Experience:
- Competent to Sell SME General Insurance: Competent to sell SME general insurance.
- Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in a branch and/or broker sales position.
- Clear Understanding: Clear understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
- Experience of E-Trading Platforms: Experience of e-trading platforms; Acturis would be advantageous but not required.
- Strong Track Record: Strong track record in delivering on sales targets.
