Job Title: Service Support Lead

At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Service Support Lead, you'll play a crucial role in our Hawthorn site, effectively managing the coordination tasking for external support contracts within the Infrastructure Organisation.

The Role

As a Service Support Lead, you'll be responsible for maintaining and coordinating an effective external support services capability. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Coordinating all task dependencies internal and external to ensure outsourced and internal support are delivered to schedule, quality, and cost.
  • Identifying trends and single points of failure and making recommendations for potential improvements and optimisations.
  • Providing continued improvement recommendations, highlighting additional cost-effective activities that could be conducted.
  • Holding regular meetings with Service Management to update on current tasking performance and coordinate on future scheduled tasking.
  • Introducing consistent reporting metrics.

This role is full-time and is a hybrid role with 1 day onsite per week at Hawthorn.

Essential Experience

We're looking for someone with:

  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Knowledge of the Royal Navy and its processes.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Resource allocation skills.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management.
  • Process creation and management skills.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • UK full driver's license.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
