Job Summary:

The Oyster Partnership is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Fire and Building Safety to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our fire and building safety efforts, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of new contractors for specialist services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Control and management of key building safety data, including fire risk assessments and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Leading teams across all elements of operational fire safety, including fire risk assessments, fire planned preventative maintenance, delivery of fire risk actions, and emerging operational building safety requirements.
  • Directly managing a team of compliance managers and building safety managers, ensuring effective leadership and guidance.
  • Development of external wall remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Fire and building safety resident engagement, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Management of building safety data and the building safety information team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Requirements:

  • Preferably a Level 6 CIOB in Fire or Building Safety, demonstrating a strong foundation in fire and building safety principles.
  • Extensive experience in providing senior leadership, with a proven track record of success in fire and building safety.
  • Very strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Practical experience in fire and building safety, including knowledge of passive and active fire, M&E, and specialist safety installations and systems.
