Position Overview:
A vacancy exists for a Locum ENT Consultant with a specialist interest in Rhinology/Sinus surgery at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

Role Responsibilities:
Applications are invited for this newly established position within our ENT department. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of 14 existing consultants and will be required to participate in an on-call rotation.

We are dedicated to Continuing Medical Education for our consultants and pride ourselves on providing high-quality specialist care, particularly in cancer, renal, and cardiac services, which has earned us both national and international recognition.

Key Duties:
  • Supervision and training of junior medical staff.
  • Shared responsibility for patient care across various wards.
  • Engagement in clinical sessions as outlined in the job plan.
  • Participation in teaching, research, and administrative duties.
  • Collaboration with fellow ENT Consultants to enhance service delivery.
  • Involvement in the adult and pediatric on-call rota, with a frequency of 1:8.

Additional Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will also undertake managerial duties associated with patient care and the operation of the Clinical Department.

Regulatory Compliance:
As this position is governed by the Protection of Children Act 1999 and related legislation, an enhanced police criminal records disclosure will be required upon successful application.
