Overview

The Rhinology Fellow will serve as a senior non-consultant member within the ENT department, gaining extensive training in the field of Rhinology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate effectively with the existing consultant teams to enhance teaching, training, and clinical experiences.
  • Manage the organization and operation of clinics and surgical lists during the absence of consultants.
  • Oversee clinical and theatre sessions, ensuring continuity of care in the consultants' absence.
Fellowship Focus

This fellowship encompasses all areas of Rhinology, excluding skull base procedures, providing a comprehensive experience in the specialty.

On-Call Duties

The Fellow will participate in a 1 in 7 on-call rota, delivering SpR level cover for the new Hub and supporting emergency on-call duties. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising emergency cases and ward patients during working hours.
  • Assisting in the training and oversight of junior doctors (F2 ST2).
  • Engaging in departmental meetings, research initiatives, and audit activities.

This position offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment, contributing to the advancement of ENT practices.
