Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Education

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Head of School for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of women's health education and contribute to the excellence of our institution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall quality, management, and supervision of programmes within the School. They will ensure that all programmes meet the standards defined by NHS England, the GMC, and Royal College. This will involve working closely with NHS England's senior educators, other Heads of Schools, Directors of Medical Education, and Training Programme Directors to provide comprehensive experiences for trainees to cover the speciality curricula.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain a clinical commitment, ensuring you have a medical degree, membership/fellowship of the relevant Royal College/Faculty, and a current substantive contract as an NHS Consultant in a relevant specialty.
- Exercise excellent leadership skills, meeting professional requirements for Continuing Professional Development and Revalidation, and making a wider professional contribution through academic and managerial responsibilities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Considerable experience at Consultant level in a relevant specialty with a current clinical commitment within the region.
- Primary clinical healthcare qualification/membership/fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association, and/or regulatory body.
- Attendance at courses aimed to support educational development.
